A.C.T. of Connecticut Announces a Unique and New Interpretation of Stephen Schwartz’s GODSPELL
A.C.T. of Connecticut is set to present a modernized rendition of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell as part of their 2019-2020 season.
Directed by Daniel C. Levine, this reimagined production will transform the classic musical, inspired by an abandoned church setting in Manhattan.
Levine shared his vision, saying, "What if this church was in midtown Manhattan and was slated to be demolished tomorrow?" Collaborating closely with Schwartz, they tailored the show uniquely for A.C.T. of CT, even removing a song.
Featuring a talented cast and creative team, including scenic design by Reid Thompson and choreography by Sara Brians, Godspell promises a fresh and inspiring theatrical experience. Performances run from February 6th to March 8th, with tickets available on their website.
